About me

I'm Stefan Tomek – a business consultant, coach, and trainer. But above all: someone who knows things from personal experience.

Since 1998, I've been working in the family business. I've operated in Austria, Malta, Libya, and Cyprus, worked with teams of up to 29 different nationalities, and managed crises where mistakes weren't an option. At the same time, I trained in coaching and psychosocial counseling – not because I had to, but because I wanted to understand why people react the way they do under pressure.

Today, I combine the best of both worlds: strategic entrepreneurial thinking with a genuine understanding of human dynamics.

Professional Background

I have been working at the family business VAOS – Value Added Oilfield Services since 1998 .

I started in the IT department , which I have managed for many years, and am responsible for the technical infrastructure and operational systems at international locations in:

• Austria

• Malta

• Libya

• Cyprus

Since the end of 2023, I have been Managing Director of VAOS and am responsible for the operational and strategic development of the company – in particular the business development and expansion in the field of industrial service and environmental services in demanding international operating regions.

International Context

I have worked for decades with multinational teams consisting of up to 29 different nationalities .

This experience shapes my expertise in:

I have lived and worked for several years in North Africa , Malta and the Mediterranean region - therefore I am specialized in communication and management structures in sometimes very remote and infrastructurally difficult areas, such as the Sahara Desert.

I speak fluent German and English , and also basic Arabic and Maltese.
